Popular Heroes Combinations

I have ~44K matches in the DB and I want to know, what heroes combination are popular. I can go to Heroes VS Heroes-page and check some interesting (in my opinion) combos.

But I can't check all combos manually. For example, number of combos for 5-heroes is ~100KK. So, let's use "sql-magic":

This sql-request allows to get 5-heroes combos used more than others. I was surprised to find out that one combo was used 6 times by one team! Slardar, Dazzle, Night Stalker, Abaddon, Elder Titan picked by RoXKIS-team. They won all matches with it. No other combination of 5 heroes has not been used more than 5 times. Here list of some:

  • Puck, Nature's Prophet, Lifestealer, Rubick, Nyx Assassin (3/5 - 60 %)
  • Puck, Nature's Prophet, Lifestealer, Rubick, Visage (3/5 - 60 %)
  • Puck, Lifestealer, Bounty Hunter, Rubick, Visage (2/5 - 40 %)
  • Kunkka, Lina, Weaver, Batrider, Shadow Demon (0/5 - 0 %)
  • Bane, Mirana, Puck, Sand King, Dark Seer (4/5 - 80 %)
  • Beastmaster, Leshrac, Ursa, Lone Druid, Ogre Magi (4/5 - 80 %)
  • Venomancer, Luna, Dragon Knight, Clockwerk, Rubick (4/5 - 80 %)
  • Mirana, Sand King, Clockwerk, Invoker, Shadow Demon (1/5 - 20 %)

And what about 4 heroes combinations? SQL-request is little bit greater:

9 combos are with Mirana. Just look at her popularity-graph. Who would have expected it?

2-heroes combos are not so interesting, so I skip them. That's all for now.
